Vigilance at all times

While happily engaged on Christmassy diversions, a mouse must still keep his/her beady little eyes very much on the proverbial ball – or sprout (the incidence of Brussels sprouts curiously falling from the dining table upon unsuspecting – and diminutive – heads increases exponentially during this season….).

A momentary lapse in concentration en route between skirting board and Christmas tree and a mouse could sustain a really rather serious brassica-based injury...

This assumes, of course, that the crazy meteorological conditions that blighted this year’s sprout crop haven’t entirely robbed the British Christmas dinner of its most contentious vegetable… http://www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/christmas/6860100/Sprout-shortage-as-snow-ruins-Christmas-crop.html
