Ok – yes. Fully late for 2nd December, by an entire day, but here is offering No. 2 of my blizzard of Advent posts, this time featuring a delightful couple whom were married on Saturday 1st December – a day of sparkling frost and sub-zero temperatures here in remarkably-sunny Staines(upon-Thames, now, dontcha know – yeah, we can be desperately aspirational, too!), and a momentous start to the festive season for the new Mr & Mrs Stockdale:
Although I was working from a few photos, the only information the commissioner had been able to give re. specifics of the couple’s outfits for the occasion had been a photograph of the unusual tie, that The Dress would be dark-ish green (i.e. non-traditional in colour, but in an identifiably wedding-y style), and the flower arrangements were to be white roses. It is only right and correct, of course, that the Bride’s dress – at the very least – remain a closely (and violently, if necessary)-guarded secret but, incredibly, a multimedia text missive from the day revealed that my emerald-green satin confection wasn’t vastly removed from the actual wedding gown worn, give or take a few diamantÉ embellishments. Uncanny.
