A little slow out of the proverbial starting blocks (again) on this week’s Illustration Friday topic*, but I did rather enjoy it once pencil had finally made contact with paper – so much so, that I’m going to work this one up into a watercolour today 🙂
Finding fairies cavorting about the place as you wander back to bed (post-bathroom visit/midnight feasting excursion to the kitchen) would, I imagine, demand your attention for a moment or two – be somewhat *mesmerizing, even… (Or perhaps it’s just the effect of inhaling a little too many breaths of sparkly, yellow fairy dust that’s induced that o-mouthed trance…?)

The eyes and the hair show give the girl so much personality! I also like the minimal use of color (I always have issues with that lol)
